I had the privilege of running a workshop for Freelance Felici, Marta Alcini‘s community dedicated to freelancers who want to build a sustainable and fulfilling business. The chosen topic: “The Value of Color: The Power of Chromatic Identity in Personal Branding”.
Freelance Felici: A Community That Makes a Difference
Freelance Felici isn’t just a group of professionals – it’s a real community of support and growth. Marta Alcini has created a space where freelancers can connect, learn, and grow together, tackling the daily challenges of self-employment with awareness and strategy.
Being invited as a speaker to discuss such a specific topic as chromatic identity in personal branding represents recognition of the innovative approach I’ve developed over recent years on this subject.
A New Approach to Color in Personal Branding
During the workshop, I challenged traditional beliefs about color psychology – those decades-old theories claiming that “red is passion” or “blue conveys trust”. Instead, I presented an approach based on neuroscience and concrete research, demonstrating how color perception is deeply personal and tied to our individual experiences.
Participants were particularly struck by the interactive experiments I proposed, like the blue perception test and practical examples of optical illusions that show just how subjective our interpretation of colors really is.
Practical Tools and Real Applications
I didn’t stop at theory. I shared concrete tools like the Rak Color Test to discover your chromatic identity and the Contrast Checker to ensure content accessibility. I showed real case studies, including the complete rebranding of a coach, demonstrating the impact of a strategic approach to color.
The final Q&A session was particularly rich, with practical questions about managing complex palettes, communicating through colors even to colorblind people, and maintaining chromatic consistency when delegating content creation.
